Set in various locations throughout present day Texas, this witty fable of love conquering greed set in the Lone Star State has 30 different characters portrayed by five actors.  Hilarious scenes spin around two sets of mismatched lovers who meet on the day of their shotgun double wedding and three generations of outrageous characters from two feuding families in this musical comedy.

Who's Who

Marisa Cucuzza (Actor 1) last appeared as Kiki in 4th Wall's production of Philemon.  Before that, she was Asaka in Once on This Island and was also seen here at Westminster Arts Center as Alice Beane with M.O.C. Musical Theater in Titanic last fall.  She holds a BA from Rutgers in Theater and Media Communications and is attending MSU for her Master’s in English education.  Favorite roles include: Eva Peron in Evita, Marta in Company, Fastrada in Pippin, Eve in Children of Eden, Joan in Dames at Sea, Narrator in Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat, Ariel Moore in Footloose, Sarah Brown in Guys & Dolls and Daisy Mae in Li’l Abner

Erin Edelle (Actor 2) a Long Island native, knows as much about Texas as Pee-Wee Herman did when he went looking for the basement of the Alamo.  Regardless, she's thrilled to be part of this wacky little show.  In NYC, Erin has appeared in the Off-Broadway interactive musical, The Karaoke Show, Fallen Angel as part of the FringeNYC '06 Festival (Winner: Oustanding Musical), and Once On This Island (Asaka). Other past and favorite credits include: Parade (Lucille Frank), The Who's TOMMY (Mrs. Walker), Bare (Nadia McConnell), Ragtime (Emma Goldman), Nunsense (Sr. Mary Hubert), Swing! Donna DeCicco (Actor 3) was country…when country wasn’t cool and even remembers when the Tri-State actually had a country music radio station.  She is thrilled to be back on the 4th Wall stage having played Mary Jane in Big River and Dr. Charlotte in Falsettos. Donna was last seen locally as Vicki in the Studio Players production of The Full Monty. Gregory Allen (Actor 5) hails from the Lone Star State and knew he was destined to do this show since appearing in a 4th grade play as the gambler, Burk Burnett, who won an entire town in a poker match (and yes...the man named the town after himself-located on the Texas map near the panhandle).   Greg has worked in NYC (Steppin' Out Rep, The Lark Theatre), regional theatre (Carousel Music Theatre, Metroplex Arts), dinner theatre (Rainbow Productions, Marion Dinner Theatre), children's theatre (Happy Times, Dallas Children's Theatre), tours (Maximillion Prods, Cohan Prods), television (HBO, NBC) and even as a Teenage Mutant Turtle in the early 90s.  Favorite 4th Wall roles include: Falsettos (Whizzer), A New Brain (Gordon), and Violet (The Preacher).

Other favorites directed at 4th Wall include: A New Brain, Falsettos, Violet, Songs for a New World, Little Shop of Horrors, Nunsense, Is There Life After High School, Godspell, and others.  In the Daylight, Bob is a casting director in NYC. There he has helped to populate film, T V, commercials, over 30 national tours, and literally hundreds of regional theatre productions across the country.  Nights he is not directing shows, he can be found directing students in one of his three audition classes that he teaches weekly in NYC, or as a faculty member in Pace University's Musical Theatre Department.

Judy Stanton (Music Director) is both a musician and an accountant.  Originally Judy attended Oberlin College in Ohio where she studied piano performance with Sanford Margolis. She then continued her studies at the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago, Illinois, under the tutelage of William Browning.  She has been the MD for shows at Montclair High School and Montclair Kimberley Academy, as well as being involved in shows at Bloomfield College, Paquanack High School, Passaic Valley Summer Theatre in Little Falls, and The Arts Trust in Ramapo.  As a MD and Pianist, Judy has also directed and performed at local New Jersey community theatres including the Montclair Studio Players where she is a Board member, Montclair Operetta Club, Nutley Little Theatre, Gaslamp Players in Glenridge, and Teaneck New Theatre.  This is her first production with 4th Wall, but has worked as a team with Bob Cline on several shows.

Gwen Ricks-Spencer (Production Manager) has been involved in some capacity of every show each season from producing (Kiss of the Spider Woman) to directing (Heaven Knows, Invisible Fences, Batboy) to appearing in shows (most recently Ain't Misbehavin').  She has been the Executive Director of 4th Wall since 2005 and is a founding member of the company.  She received a Bachelors degree in Theatre and Government from Smith College (emphasis: Performance and Light Design)  and a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor (emphasis: Performance).  She has worked professionally as a performer and now is an Associate Director in the Office of Public Policy for Ernst & Young in New York.

Martha Thalheimer (Stage Manager) serves as the Company Manager for 4th Wall, handling all aspects of production including coordinator with the arts center & rehearsal space at our educational wing facility.  She is a Perry Award winning stage manager and has been the resident stage manager for each 4th wall production (Ain’t Misbehavin’, Kiss of the Spider Woman, Assassins, Invisible Fences, Nine,The Rink, Heaven Knows, and Philemon) since joining the organization in 2005.  Martha is just as familiar with a power tool as she is a script filling many capacities on the technical crew with each production including set build or running the light board.  She has  previously been extensively involved with M.O.C. Musical Theatre, having served in various backstage positions from costumes to props to stage management.
